“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” ~John Quincy Adams
Remember that game you might have played back in school called Follow The Leader? You essentially had a group of about 5-10 people and one of those people was the “leader” and whatever that person did, the others had to do too. It was a very simple and pretty fun game at times. But what I remember being fun about it wasn’t the game itself, it was being 9 or 10 years old and feeling like I was in charge of a group that felt big to me. The feeling of Leadership! 🙂
Now, who comes to mind when you think of the word Leader? Maybe you think of your boss at work, or your teachers at school, perhaps you think of a pastor or priest at your church, maybe it’s a mentor or someone you look up to….? Whomever or whatever you think of, I think a Leader is best known as a person who leads by example. Someone who does the right thing, even when the right thing may be hard to do. A leader is someone who’s placed in your life to act perhaps as a guide.
Who is/are your leader(s)?
Do you follow the crowd just to fit in? Or do you stray away and make your own path?
Do you find yourself fearful of being different?
It’s okay to follow and it’s also okay to lead!!!! 🙂 Life is really learning how to be both a Leader and a Follower!! Perhaps today you can think of ways to be a leader. Think of something you do in your day to day life that could be considered an act of Leadership! This act does not have to be big at all. Perhaps it’s just donating a dollar to a good cause, or helping someone who has fallen down. Maybe it’s something a bit bigger like starting your own business or creating your own website to sell your hand-made crafts. An act of Leadership can even be as simple and kind as giving someone a hug or sharing your lovely smile with someone! 🙂 Whatever you decide to do as your act of Leadership, do that act with all your heart!!! ❤ You have it within you to be a Leader!!!! 🙂 See how it goes! You may just find a quality in you that you didn’t know was there before!! 🙂
