“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” ~Albert Schweitzer
Today is the perfect day to talk about thankfulness! Whether life is just as you want it, or you feel that things are really bad, let’s stop, take a deep breath, and court our blessings!
More and more, I have become very aware that each day we get up, and live our lives, anything could happen! That statement is NOT to scare you, it’s just to say, “Stop, Count your blessings, and Be Thankful that YOU are alive!” It is amazing how long the average American lives without leaving the Earth sooner than expected! It is also incredibly sad how many people leave this Earth too soon!
Be happy! 🙂 Every moment you’re alive and living your life is a very wonderful moment indeed!
“Keep your eyes open to your mercies. The man who forgets to be thankful has fallen asleep in life.” ~Robert Louis Stevenson
“When you learn to listen with your soul, your life becomes larger.” ~Michele Harvey
It can take a whole human beings life time to truly understand what listening to the soul truly means. It’s a true journey of one day to the next, listening for that inner self that tells you whether something feels right or wrong, the voice that tells you to make the right decision even if your mind wants to do the opposite, this what learning to live feels like! 🙂
While looking for clarity, one might ask what is clarity? Sometimes in life, there are words that don’t even quite make sense yet we here them used while trying to describe something, someone, or perhaps a feeling. Clarity is that feeling or sense that comes over you, when you something in your life comes into focus! That’s my definition of it anyways! 🙂 It is important that we seek out clarity for those un-answered questions in life that seem to occupy our minds most often!
The metaphor I like to use and what many others use to describe the word “clarity” is water! When you go to a lake or a pond, you’ll notice how if the water is un-settle or sloshed around too much, the water becomes muddy and un-clear so that you can’t see the bottom very easily. However, if you let the mud and sand settle to the bottom of the lake, the water then becomes clear and settled again! 🙂 Sounds like life, doesn’t it? At times, it is un-clear to know exactly where the sign are pointing in life, but then something else happens that causes your confusion to disappear and be replaced with that sense of Clarity! 🙂
Today, ask yourself, “What part of my life needs more clarity? Do I have un-answered or un-settling questions within me? What do I need to do to become settled and clear again?” May you find clarity, and with it, may you also seek out the peace and serenity of a clear mind! ❤
“Mindfulness is about love and loving life. When you cultivate this love, it gives you clarity and compassion for life, and your actions happen in accordance with that.” ~Jon Kabat-Zinn
“The greatest gift that you can give to others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.” ~Brian Tracy
As my Mom worked in the kitchen, I sat there and talked to her for awhile. Our discussion was nothing unusual, however it lead me to remembering something that I think we quite often forget! We are all born with a gift or gifts! They are special abilities or talents that we are given specifically to make this world a better place! Answer this question:
How often do you meet someone or know of someone, who has a fabulous gift but who does not make use of it? A lot of times these people are dreamers who share all of their ideas and logic with others. But what do they lack? Most often the answer I come up with is, C-O-N-F-I-D-E-N-C-E what does that spell? That’s correct! Confidence! We all need a little push sometimes! 🙂
It amazes me how many people live day to day, NOT doing what they were born to do! Point being, we all have a gift or talent! So I ask you today, what is your gift? How will you make use of it? EVERYONE is special!!! No two people are ever born exactly the same! We all have something that makes us unique from the rest of the world! FIND IT! Have you ever seen that car commercial? I forget if it’s a Nissan commercial or Hyundai, but the mantra at the end is, ” Life is full of rules. Be the exception.” I thought it was very thought provoking!
If you meet someone or know of someone that has a gift, I would strong encourage you to seek that person out and encourage them to start using their gift or talent!! I’ve come to realize in just 19 years of living just how short life really is. We must live each day as if we won’t be here tomorrow! Make beautiful use of your life! ❤ Let this be your motto, “Settle for nothing less than your absolute best!”
“To give anything less than your best, is to sacrafice the gift.” ~Steve Prefontaine
“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.” ~Joseph Campbell
When life gets too chaotic, what is the first thing you want to do? I usually want to turn inward, or be alone. Whether you take a walk, eat, read a book, sit in a chair, meditate, pray, or watch television, we all need time to ourselves! So today, make sure to take some time just for you!! 🙂 A time to think, be with yourself, and process your life! ❤
For all of you going through hard times remember that there is ALWAYS someone you can talk to! Being alone doesn’t mean forever, it just means for a little while. As sad thoughts start to flood your head, breathe them out! I really like the term, “Breathe in positivity, exhale negativity.” Try it and see if it helps! ❤ Use this quiet time to process what you feel and figure out what it is you need, to feel better! 🙂
For all of you feeling content and happy with life, use this time to think about improving you! Are you making healthy choices? Are you hanging out with the right group of friends? Friends who make you feel empowered and healthy? Use this time to make sure that all of your happiness is from a healthy and positive source! ❤
After you have spent time being alone, resume your life again! See how you feel! 🙂 I always feel refreshed after spending time with myself! ❤
“What a lovely surprise to finally discover how unlonely being alone can be.” ~Ellen Burstyn
“Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.” ~Janine di Giovanni
Happy Easter Everyone!! Whether you are celebrating the resurrection of Christ, searching for Easter baskets/eggs, or perhaps you are doing both, I hope you enjoy yourselves fully and truly!! 🙂 Easter is such a beautiful holiday filled with pastel colors, eggs, and faith!! ❤ Today, let us be thankful for all that has happened to get where we are today!! 🙂 Easter has such a special meaning to so many people across America today, many families go to church to celebrate this special holiday, while others prefer to take a more playful route and search for Easter eggs or baskets! 🙂 It is so fun being together in special times like these, so however you celebrate this holiday, may the peace and love within each of you, bring out the peace and joy within others! ❤
“I have always wanted a bunny and I’ll always have a rabbit the rest of my life.” ~Amy Sedaris
If you are Christian or Catholic, may the peace of Christ with be with all of you! How wonderful it is that He died for us, so that we may have new life! Here is a bible verse for all of you! ❤
31 “He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.” Mark 8:31
